SAPS CRIME STATISTICS:

10/03 – Place: Inkulu Roofing – Bridge Str. (Tues. ± 11h30)
Theft: Person(s) entered the premises and stole a cell phone and laptop.

13/03 – Place: Cater Market – Uranium Str. (Fri. 20h15)
Theft: The alarm was activated at the above premises. One security officer waited on top of the bridge to have a better view of the premises, while two officers searched the premises. They noticed the cables on the wall were removed, but did not find any suspect(s) on the premises. They checked under the bridge and spotted a male carrying a white bag. The suspect dropped the bag and ran. The security chased the suspect on foot into a yard in Glen Avenue, Bellville-South. The electrical cables from Cater Market and tools were found in the bag. The Police arrested the suspect.

19/03 – Place: Rags-For-us – Uranium Str. (Thurs.)
Theft: Lock broken and trailer stolen.

GBS SECURITY:

05/03 – Place: Timkoe Park, Uranium Str. (Thurs. 10h20)
Attempted theft: The owner caught two suspects from Bellville-South that tried to steal his wheelie bin. The Police was contacted.

Alarms: 175 Alarms were activated for the month. Premises were checked and all was found in order.

Suspicious persons checked: 14

Suspicious vehicles checked: 5

Insecure premises: 3

 

Joint operation held on the 12/03/2015: Triangle Farm
· 6 x suspect persons searched. One blade and one plastic milk crate confiscated.
· 2 x verbal warnings issued for vehicle facing oncoming traffic.
· 2 x vagrants removed from under the bridge and fire extinguished.
· 15 x Persons warned and searched on railway line.

Fines issued:
10 x Fail to display license
23 x Unlicensed motor vehicle
1 x Parking on sidewalk
1 x Talking on cell phone while driving
7 x Not wearing safety belt
8 x No Driver’s license
2 x Smooth tyres
5 x Ignoring Stop sign
