SAPS CRIME STATISTICS:

24/01 – Place: Little Green Beverages – Thermo Str. (Sun.)
Possession – suspected stolen property: At 15h20 on Sunday GBS Security saw a male walking with a flat screen TV on the corner of Isotope and Bridge Street. The Police was contacted and the suspect was arrested.

Possession – suspected stolen property: At 19h30 a suspect carrying a black bag was caught after he jumped over a gate in Reactor Street. A Video Conferencing unit was found in his possession. The Police was contacted and the suspect was arrested.

Housebreaking: On Monday morning a housebreaking was reported. The items found on both suspects belonged to the above company. A broken flat screen TV was found outside the premises. Suspects gained entry through the roof.

25/01 – Place: Process Pipe – Neutron Str.
Housebreaking: Suspect(s) gained entry by climbing through the burglar bars. The computer was moved from the desk to the window. No items were stolen.

26/01: Place: Peter Barlow Rd.
Robbery: Cell phone.

27/01: Place: Peter Barlow Rd.
Robbery with other weapon: Two coloured males threatened lady with knife and took her handbag.

GBS SECURITY:

16/01 – Place: Sandown Commercial Vehicles – Isotope Str. (20h50)
Attempted theft: GBS Security received a call that two suspects are on the above premises. As the security approached the suspects they dropped the truck battery and ran away.

18/01 – Place: Lanco Mouldings – Electron Str.
Housebreaking: Suspect(s) gained entry at the back of the premises bordering the public open space and removed a slab of the vibracrete wall. Steel lying on the premises was stolen.

22/01 – Place: CBB Logistics – Proton Str. (Fri. 15h45)
Trespassing: Suspect male was found inside the premises. The Police was contacted and the suspect was taken to the Police station.

Alarms: 190 Alarms were activated. Premises were checked and all was found in order.

Suspicious persons checked: 9

Suspicious vehicles checked: 3

Insecure premises: 1

Trolleys confiscated: 1
