SECURITY SERVICE PROVIDER |
The CID would like to make an urgent
request to property owners / tenants to please report all
incidents to GBS Security.
The Security Control Room number 021-905 0241 will no longer
be in use. To save time, the security patrol vehicles can
be contacted directly on

627 3275 / 076 627 0152
The CID would also like
to appeal to everyone not to leave “scrap” metal
in your black wheelie bins. This is a high risk and an opportunity
for people to observe your premises and break in.
According to the Police
statistics the highest crime presently reported is theft
out of motor vehicles and trucks. Please ensure your fencing
is intact, cameras are in good working order,and there is
sufficient lighting outside your premises.

1.
Metrorail fence:
The CID has completed Metrorail’s
fence (895m). The first phase ( 250m) flat wrap razor wire
was also installed at the top and bottom of the fence. Please
inform your employees to find an alternative route as the
whole section in Uranium Road is going to be closed off
and electrified.
2. Transnet fence:
Transnet is in the process of erecting
a new and stronger fence in Reactor Road.
The CID would like to make an urgent request
to companies to educate their employees, and inform them
of the danger of crossing the railway line, and also that
it is illegal to cross the railway line.

The
CID reported 18 lamp poles that were knocked down / skew.
Please report to the CID Manager if you notice a vehicle/truck
damaging the lamp poles, and if possible to obtain a registration
number. The CID will monitor who is responsible for any
further damage.

| 4.
TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES |
The CID sent a request
to the Head of the Transport Department regarding traffic
calming measures in the area. Two side road junction warning
signs on Peter Barlow Road at the intersection with Electron
Road was installed. Four “speed limit” boards
and parallel lines were implemented in Bridge Road. The
CID would like to make an urgent request not to speed in
the area due to the high volume of pedestrians in the area.

The CID has distributed
new “Emergency numbers” to all the companies
in the Triangle Farm area with the contact details of the
new Security Service provider. Please make use of these
telephone numbers in case of an emergency or if you want
to report any faults, and remember to obtain a reference
number.

The data base has been
completed and updated. Please inform the CID if you are
moving out of the area, or if you notice any newcomer moving
into the area. It is important that we update this information
as this will enable us to contact you should the CID Security
observe anything out of the ordinary at your business premises.

CID’s Annual General Meeting coming up in November
2011 the CID would like to encourage property owners to
become a member of the CID. Membership is free of charge
and entitles one to voting rights. Please find attached

to be completed and handed to the CID Manager.
